Meet the woman behind Nekolingua
I’m Soraya Muñoz, a passionate freelance translator (EN/DE/IT > ES) specialized in localization. I’ve studied a BA in Translation and Interpreting (German, English, Italian, and Catalan) at the Universidad de Alicante (2013-2017) majoring in Italian language.
During my studies, I got a scholarship to be an ERASMUS student at the Internationale Fachkommunikation und Übersetzen Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal in Germany, and I was also able to participate in the SICUE program to study the last semester at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
After my experience in cities such as Frankfurt, New York and Rome, I decided to get expertise in localization. In 2018, I completed my MA in Translation and New Technologies: Translation of Software and Multimedia Products from the Instituto Superior de Estudios Lingüísticos y Traducción (ISTRAD) in Italian-Spanish.
I began my professional career in 2017, working as a translator and project manager at a translation agency in Madrid, what helped me in my professional growth. Thereafter I worked as a software tester for SDL. You can check my CV online for further details.
